The Marvel Gallery is making a big impact with this Incredible Hulk PVC Diorama. Standing at 11” tall, the Hulk poses with strength and anger. This character’s first appearance was in The Incredible Hulk #1 (1962). When Bruce Banner was trying to save someone’s life, he got caught in a gamma bomb explosion. He then transformed into the often-misunderstood hero, Hulk. He became one of the founding members of the Avengers, and is hated as much as he is adored—for his anger can get out of control when he transforms into the Hulk.
This PVC figure was sculpted by Sam Greenwell, veteran toy sculptor. Having worked for DC, Marvel, Toybiz, Dark Horse, Bowen Designs, Blizzard, and more, he brings an immense talent to Diamond Select Toys.
The details in this sculpture are impeccable. Greenwell gives us the Hulk’s torn pants, muscular accuracy, popping veins, snarled expression, flowing hair, and overall monumental stance. The Hulk has never looked so good atop rubble. Every stressed tendon and flexed muscle is shown with an insane amount of detail and realism.
The painting on this figure is meticulously done with an ashy grey for the rubble, the Hulk’s signature dark purple pants, and his ever-so popular green skin tone that distinguishes him from all other heroes. The green itself has different tones that help accent and define all the muscle sculpts.
