Gemstone Publishing’s Jeffrey Vaughn will be in the ComicWow! studios next week to discuss the newest edition of the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide, as well as new projects for the company
Next Wednesday (Feb. 15) at 2:30pm, Gemstone Publishing’s Vice President of Publishing, Jeffrey Vaughn, will stop by the ComicWow! studios. In a live interview, we will discuss the new edition of the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide, previous editions, artwork therein, other Gemstone books, and upcoming projects.
Gemstone Publishing puts out both comic books and collectors’ guides—most notably the Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide. This is an annually published price guide that acts as the authority on American comic book grading and pricing. The growth of market distribution and specialty shops are both linked to the acceptance of the Price Guide as a standard of inventory and pricing.
The book was created in 1970 by Robert M. Overstreet as a guide for Golden and Silver Age comics. The guide itself has become a collectible—since the ‘80s, each guide has a price value for previous guides. From “how to” guides to books on grading, big little books, character toys, Disney collectibles, toy rings, banks, and comic artwork, Gemstone Publishing is always putting out something both entertaining and educational.
ComicWow! is honored to have the opportunity to discuss Gemstone and its projects with Jeffrey Vaughn. Be sure to tune into the interview LIVE on ComicWow!’s Facebook page on February 15th at 2:30pm. Bring your questions, too! Leave them in the comments during the stream, and learn all you’d like about Gemstone. See you there!
